Every time you stop into Luna Eclectic Emporium in the Confederation Court Mall, you’ll likely find something new and fresh that you’ve never seen before! We have the store’s owner, Jennifer Ridgway, to thank for that. Jennifer has a knack (and passion!) for cultivating unique and exciting products from around the world for her vibrant little shop.
Luna carries everything from high-quality clothing and footwear from brands like Habitat, Miz Mooz and Glerup, to colourful African bath kits, quirky plant pots, retro candy and more. Jennifer loves the thrill of the hunt. She spends most of her time sourcing new products, talking to reps and finding ways to keep her store fun and funky!
Jennifer feels creativity and uniqueness is the strength of small independent businesses. She believes Luna reflects the personalities of her employees, a team of spirited people that make shopping a fun experience.
Jennifer moved Luna from Victoria Row to the mall in 2008. She needed to expand to fit all her fabulous finds. The mall is a perfect place for the shop; it’s in the most charming part of Charlottetown, and Luna even has a second entrance that leads to Grafton street which is lively and busy all year round! This is important because Jennifer wants Luna to be a place for locals, not just tourists, to find cool gifts in every season.
Jennifer gushes about the unique business owners in the mall. She’s surrounded by other merchants who put their hearts and their savings on the line to make their dreams come true! “The mall is full of that good energy and everyone is very supportive of one another,” says Jennifer. She loves supporting the mall merchants and leaving her money here on PEI. She hopes other Islanders do the same.
