This is Pham Khanh Hiep, owner of Alambé. Alambé is a Vietnamese café, operating in the Confederation Court Mall since August 2020. Pham has been in the coffee industry for almost 30 years. He owned a roastery in Vietnam, and when he came to PEI, he wanted to introduce the unique flavour of his Vietnamese coffee to local coffee lovers.
Alambé coffee is a little different than your typical cup of joe. Most local coffee shops use coffee from Latin America or Africa, but Vietnamese coffee has a distinct taste. Hiep describes the coffee as less acidic than other types, and very smooth- perfect for iced coffees as well!
The team at Alambé loves that their location in the mall helps connect them with their customers. “We see lots of people,” Pham says “Some come to shop at the mall and stop in for a coffee, and others are looking for coffee specifically but go shop as they sip it.”
From regular drip coffee to distinct flavours, like their brand new egg coffee, Alambé has many high-quality options for customers to enjoy. They also serve finger foods Vietnamese Bhan-Mi sandwiches.
Next time you’re looking to try something new, stop in and see Pham at Alambé!☕
